LASE Community is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children in the U.S.A. and Brasil with athletic development, necessary sporting goods, and community development. We are committed to sustainability and strive to empower our future generations. Through collaborative initiatives, we aim to reduce the basic needs of items such as socks, cleats, and educational books. Our mission is driven by the belief that kids should participate in sports and not let the scarcity of sporting goods limit their competitiveness. We also believe that kids need to be equipped with contemporary educational resources to help them compete in an ever-changing global economy. Together, we envision a more equitable society, and we invite others to join us on this philanthropic journey. 

Leo and Eric met while coaching kids in soccer in Los Angeles, California. After building many successful soccer programs together for schools around LA, they noticed a need for sporting goods for kids in the community. This is where they got their idea to form LASE Community. On top of forming partnerships with schools and community organizations in so-cal, we also wanted to get involved with communities in Brasil. We started with Leo’s hometown of Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. As we started providing sporting goods for kids here in the US, we noticed that kids in Brasil play soccer barefoot or without shoes at times. A lot of this is due to harsh economic conditions in Rio. Since forming LASE Community we’ve been able to donate socks, cleats, and uniforms for the kids in Rio’s communities. Sports have always been a vehicle for kids to ideally make it out of different levels of poverty, and we will enable that process. In addition to providing the basic sporting goods to compete in soccer, we are also focused on providing contemporary educational resources. STEM programs are very beneficial for kids to gain the skills they need to compete in a global economy. We aim to provide books and online resources to kids here in LA and in Rio. One of the biggest hindrances kids face when dealing with economic difficulties is the limited access to information and tools for success. We believe that our formula will help future generations to make it out of similar economic hardships that both Leo and Eric were faced with as kids.
